Dental coverage, going over my dental plan but feeling lost

So I got a job that offer dental insurance this is the first time I had dental insurance other then being on my parents plan. I got the packet information on it but it is kinda all going over my head. I talk to my co-worker but he said he does not knw much about it either since he has yet to use it.
I am not sure what I am covered for. I want to go to the dentist and get my cleaning but do not know if I am expected to pay anything. All I know for sure is that it is a PPO and I am told that I can go to any dentist and it does not matter.  I do I make sure what my coverages are?

Call the insurance company the member service number is normally listing in the plan packet information. That is the best way to know what you are and are not covered for under the plan you have.

There is no way we could tell you want your dental plan covers only knowing it is a PPO. All plans are different and group plans will very on how they work depending on what your company packaged together.
If you work for a large company there may be an person that handles employees benefits. It so call that person up. Otherwise you will need to call the insurance company to go over your coverages under the plan you have.
I do know one thing make sure you know how the dentist is going to file out the claim. More and more dentist are making the client pay in full for their dental services. Making you wait for the money due from the insurance company to come back to you.
